"Introduction "The element of beauty is almost wholly lacking, there being but slight attempt at ornamentation of any kind. However, many of the essays offer a unique, non-western (or non-English) perspective and discussion of the many diverse challenges that contemporary readers face when seeking to better understand, apply, and communicate the ancient Hebrew prophet Micah’s ever-relevant message to God-fearers of every age and culture. The texts have only been lightly edited, so readers will need to take into consideration certain obvious inconsistencies and infelicities (e.g., capitalization, format, pagination, etc.) as they peruse this wide-ranging collection. These papers were assigned as part of the requirements for successfully completing this graduate-level course. of 2019 at the Jerusalem Center for Bible Translators (see Appendix D for a full description of this course and its venue).
